This Sunday, the Emmy Award-winning “CBS News Sunday Morning” will broadcast new episodes on CBS, starting at 9:00 a.m. ET, and streaming on the CBS News app at 11:00 a.m. ET.

The show will feature a range of stories, including a cover story on the battle over the Stars and Stripes, reported by David Martin, and a segment on the quest for the best burger, with correspondent Adam Yamaguchi sampling high-grade Wagyu beef burgers in Tokyo.

Sunday Morning Highlights

Other highlights include a commentary on the art of barbecuing, a look back at historical events on July 5, and a profile of Oscar-winning actor J.K. Simmons, who talks about his new role in the MGM+ series “The Westies”.

The show will also feature a segment on the beloved books “Little House on the Prairie”, which are being adapted into a new TV series, and a story on the life of revolutionary writer Thomas Paine, who wrote the influential pamphlet “Common Sense” in 1776.

What to Expect

Correspondents will also explore the lost art of listening to music, with a visit to the Shibuya HiFi bar in Seattle, and examine what George Washington would think of America today, on the occasion of the country’s 250th anniversary.

The show will conclude with a tribute to Mel Brooks, the writer-director behind classics such as “Young Frankenstein” and “Blazing Saddles”, who turns 100 years old, and a look back at Independence Day celebrations with Charles Kuralt.
